Hey, i live down here on the isle of wight, but after bieng inspired by this years 'jump london' (as im sure most of you were) i have yet to find information on anything in my area involving parkour (im not in a position to go to southampton very often at all).
If anyone has some info, or can assist me in finding any, it would be a great help.
Contact me on msn at martinwisson(at)hotmail.com if you can help, or just post an answer here.
There are loads of great spots here in east cowes, and i think ryde would be a good place to find gaps too.

Id love to get back into pking, I live near freshwater bay (rubbish for it ), I kinda started with someone but thats another story. The weather's really rubbish at the moment dont u think? Alot of places iv seen are too slippy. I never considered Ryde, mainly cos I live so sheesh far away, dont suppose there are mainly places in Newport suitable?

I thought the whole island was no more than 20 odd miles I can't really judge though as I'm on the mainland, but have been on hol to IoW a few times, can't you just hop on a bus ?? Or cycle if u fancy a workout ??

I was surprised anyone replied, it seemed a kinda dead forum. i live in east cowes, i reckon there could be some decent spots on the coast/beach area. there are nice huts, couple or alleyways, a decent wall and even half a castle to climb around ;D Ive just got the ideas for technique from www.another site.co.uk, and i'll be trying just to get into the wall jumping/double tapping/rolling/landing before i try anything too ambiguous. ez - im amazed. im 15 and i live right up the top of the hill in old road. Im reckon this is going to change my total way of life, its to the gym for me after school now EDIT:seems like they dont allow links, but im certain they wouldnt mind if i added that i was talking about the another site site. 2nd EDIT: ok, maybe they dont want me to mention it. cant think why, its a good site! im sure you've all seen it anyway if you googled around

I'm suprised to see so many people from the Isle of Wight here. I've been trying to get traceurs from the Island together for a long time and without much success. I'm just getting back into Parkour again myself and would be interested in meeting up with any of you for a jam and/or regular training.
I'm in East Cowes too martwizz, and I live very very close to Old Road. I can be contacted by e-mail at russtymettle[at]gmail.com *Just replace the [at] with (at)*
Or just post back here.
P.S Ryde is a great place for PK. I've managed to host one jam there with 2 guys from the mainland so far, which was last February. The sea front is especially good in Ryde with the Southern Water Works and the Old WW2 place at Puckpool.
Hope to speak to you soon.

to be totally honest though, im in no rush for a jam, im only starting and ive got to sort out my vaults (my trailing leg seems too low). Its good to know there are quite a few of us around. If only there was a decent parkour gym thingy, like they have in other majour cities Lets keep this topic going, im sure more people will be noticing it eventually.
