We're not immature brats you know. I think it would still be good even if there is a big age difference. Come along anyway. Should still be good.

Hi my name is alex and I'm a community development worker for Thanet Community Development Trust. I watched jump britain and have seen some subsequent programs too and was really impressed by Free running. We run projects locally including Revolution Skatepark (building is loaned out by us) and i thought it would be a great idea to set up an indoor arena down here! We would probably have to charge an entrance fee to cover the insurance costs and subsidise grants and funding. I realise that the idea of free running is to do it virtually anywhere and would even contradict the name, but I also understand that beginners would like a "safe" environment in which to learn. Please feel free to express your views on my idea as I think it would be a great project.
Thanks for your time

Thanks for your time Alex Nicholson Trainee Community Support Worker Thanet Community Development Trust 82 Northdown Road Cliftonville Margate Kent CT9 2RE It's great to have some interest from you (it's great someone bothered to help Revolution), but as you said Parkour is all about it being on the streets, but I also understand what you said about beginners. Maybe you could help us set up a gym like the one on Jump Britain. I shall discuss with the Thanet Parkour team. Would it be possible for the team to meet you at the TCDC place in Northdown Road. I'm not sure if you'll be coming back here or not, so I'll write you a letter and drop it off at the Northdown Road address you've given. Thank you so much for showing some interest in hte movement. I'll be in touch soon hopefully.

Hi all,
to those who replied to my post, much appreciated guys... I will be coming back regularly to check peoples ideas and responses etc... firstly can i just say that I know Kimski as she works with me at TCDT so please dont be shy about letting her take photos, shes an excellent photographer. Secondly I need to research the idea of a parkour gym a bit more before putting anything on paper. Obviously the insurance would be sky high but Revolution have managed to get off the ground havent they ! I also need to fit the project into what TCDT do, so that means making it part of community development in Thanet. If we were to run such a project, it would not be for profit as we are a charity, all the income after running costs would be put back into the project and other projects in Thanet. In reply to Orwell, i think it would be a good idea to meet up with the Thanet Parkour team but I'm not sure when at the moment.

Wow, that would be excellent - a PK centre in Thanet would allow beginners and experienced PK'ers alike to nail a lot of moves which would be dangerous to try on the street for the first time..
Im all for it..
