What are some good upper body streches for the chest and shoulders?

try and do stretches while moving, such as punching to your front, sides and above you while running, pretend you are passing a rugby ball and touching the ground as you run

just shrugging your shoulders around in circles, forwards and backwards is the best one for the neck part of your shoulders, then for your shoulder muscles i normally bring my arm across my body and hold it until you feel the stretch. for your chest i find it best to move my arms backwards in big circles one at a time, but not too fast otherwise you'll pop your shoulder out, or tear something! hope that makes sense for you!

Streches are very important the help to prevent injury and they make your body ready for the exercise, A few upper body stretches i do are locking my fingers palms pointing away from your body and push them as far forward as you can and the same but behind you and then above you, this does your back and chest(latissimus dorsi and the pectorals) Also if you take you right arm and pull it across your body using your left untill you feel it stretches do the same but with your left arm across, then take your right arm and reach over your right shoulder as far down your back as you can then take your left hand and pull your right elbow backwards and then visa versa this will do your triceps which are very important in parkour Muel x

i agree if you wanna be able to be more flexible and agile then streching will def help you.. i do A level pe and like tightman sed its drilled into our heds to do a proper warm up and down to improve and keep muscles healthy.. www.netfit.co.uk/stretching.htm here are pretty much all the stretches youl ever need... theres quite a few and you wont need to do them all! also i find that stretching your fingers help.. put your arms out infront of you with your fingers pointing in the air with one hand and pull them back with the other hand whilst trying to push back... ;D
