No worries you know it's all good! As for the younger guys doin the interviews I think that's all good too except I think you should organise it so we can hook up and discuss with a chosen few (or 2!), just a suggestion but it makes life easier for sortin somethin out 'officially' if there ain't 30 people bustin down the door
Peace

Just a personal observation Parkour is a physical and mental discipline and sport not a means of self promotion or a contest to see who can get the most interviews, I think the forums etc. should focus on getting Parkour done.
As for safety and older people being able to talk about that more aptly is nuts really I think you would find papers legally having to include disclaimers and a cautionary tone to anything broadcast or printed.
I'm a member here to organise jams and meets so I can run with guys, this post might read a bit harsh but I aint got no grudges against anyone I just want everyone to get running not interviewing! Media coverage is great don't get me wrong I hope everyone sees where i'm coming from.
One final point on my epic whinge session the age groups, personally I think your ripping apart the fundamental philosophy of the sport by seperating age groups. If people want to go for a drink after do it the younger people aren't gonna tag along and if they do they wont get into the bars or get served. People will just go home or go do younger people things as it were, having older guys to look up to gain advice from and to watch and learn is essential to learning in a sport like this, its a new discipline and we need young people and new members who want to get started to be able to see a community of united runners helping each other perfect moves and give advice and talk during jams not base our events around alchol consumption (although I do not underestimate it!)

I have to say you are very correct. I mean i will consider trying to get some publicity but thats to mainly state that parkour has arrived in lincoln. I am hopefully seeing you lot tomoz and i have just got to say keep on topic from now on. Nice rant

i've been messing in gy for a while now with some friends and i wont say i am good cus i aint yyet but i wanna be so meeting seems like the best thing for me now as i probbley need some couching as it were i think we all should have a regular meeting place and time i.e every 4th sat of each month out side lincoln station etc this would make it easy as people who work like me would be able to get the time off for training etc. another point i would like to make is simmiler to a earlier post that says "the younger one can learn from the older ones" or summot like that ok this is true but i am 20 and i could probbley learn as much from some of the older ones as i could from the younger ones so keeping as one group that run together seems luike the best thing to do. hope people dont mind my long rant. somebody sees sense, i don't think we should split so early on, it's stupid, give it chance at least. And the Irony, <enter name here> calling us imature and not wanting to be as a group - oh, how very grown up... =P
Anyway, everything will be better when we finally get the website up, Gym sorted and the whole meeting thing.

Just to help clarify things - even if it's just for me - I get where you're comin from Jethro and you know I'm cool with runnin with anyone, the other night you were more than welcome, hopefully we can hook up soon, BUT this promotion sh-it isn't what it's made out to be - anyone who's been there or heard the interview knows that when we have these interviews or whatever other bol-lox we're all about just gettin out there and gettin it done not about gimme some love + names in the paper cr-ap cos my name ain't been put anywhere yet and when it does get put some place there'll be some righteous lyrics next to it! (so unless you been there or know for sure, no judgement please) Maybe we should all put our energy into gettin organised (finally) and start somethin for real instead of this backward and forward chat bull-nuts. Sorry if that was too emotionally charged for anyone, not lookin to get anyone irrate just want to get it goin properly, one love people - peace

Jethro - after much consideration & re-reading, you`re right but if for example we do all run together & one of you little tykes get injured, don`t expect any tears from me. My word on this is "ya cant make an omelette (spelt right ?) without breaking some eggs"
anyway, 18+ was from the paper person as her request.

Couldn't we get everything sorted first them argue about who's going to mature and immature etc..? =D
Organisation: Could >>>EvErYbOdY<<< please try to get some sort of Gym organised, could you get ideas for places to go, prices and other details please. Little tip if: make it clear that we will be using the gym equipment as it is meant to be used and that we are not death defying superheros =D
