Any guidance, help, etc. Would be most welcome. Drop me a email at dominictierney(at)hotmail.com with Parkour in subject box.

I watched the channel 4 programme last night too. I'd really like to give PK a try. If anyone in the York area wants to meet up and have a try, I'd give it a go. Mind you, I'm not some nutter wanting to break a leg, slow and easy to begin I reckon. Give me an e-mail if anyone is oragnising something local.
My e-mail is kergen21(at)hotmail.com

Wow its amazing how many peeps wanna get involed suddenly after the prog last night, Ironically they showed the less famous jump london not long ago and no one got involved. I have been PK for years now and have teams set up everywhere in yorkshire, the one i run in with is in york and my second best is the leeds team. Anyone really interested should do it, They should realise there aint any real risks, i remember spending the first month simply learning to jump over railings and once you improve you realise nothing is dangerous. My teams have also started arangements for a local tournament! I will tell you all if there are any updates on it, cause we want more than just the teams i got into it in there. Plus i read someone saying is there an age limit, well there aint, not legally, as there are no laws on it and in my own opinion kids already do it. If you watch four year olds you'll see em jumping around furniture etc., well thats the basis of parkour, so just keep it going, i still jump the inside of my house, cause its all about fun. of course i also jump of twenty feet walls, the knavesmire etc now, but it allll rocks! Please get involved people, you will love the adrenaline rush, start small and just do it, there are no rules, just do what feels right! And YEAH Brimmon rocks are awesome for it, unless you fall the massive height i did. hehehe, JP - Yorkshire Unofficial Teams Controller, York Team Leader and General PKA!!!! Myself and my friends are in York and would like to get involved - we're all v.unfit and need to get fit asap.
We were thinking of practicing in the museum gardens - on the ruins.
Where do you meet?
