Hey, I live in the Orkney Islands, and I've been doing some very basic parkour for about a year now, on and off. Tips that I'd give people starting out are not to try anything to ambitious to start with. Just practice jumping between a few good walls for a while, to get some balance, and perfect landings. Later try jumps to thinner walls or rails, or walls that are further appart. Benches are good practice for jumping over too, and kicking off high walls to reach a high ledge is good to learn too. You'll need to get used to landing from a large hight, and overcome your fears to manage longer, higher and generally more dangerous jumps.

I'm new to parkour, i tried after jump london but as im used to roller hockey and crosscountry i found i didnt have the upper body stregnth, so ive been building on it since then and have started free-running again. ;D Anyho, ill send you an email, but it seems im the closest and i have a friend hu hasnt taken up parkour but he can fly! Ive not met antone else and although ive seen videos on the net and tv i still cant quite get the feel of it as i have never ran in a group. im maybe a little younger than you all, im 16 in feb! yey!
