i don't think parkour should be taught in schools, i only discovered it a few days ago and can see that if we were to do it in my PE lessons it would be very restricted to simple things because mainly the teachers wouldn't be able to teach it because they don't know it themselves and we probably wouldn't be aloud to practice around school only inside and i don't really think that you can do much inside in a gym

I have no issue with the police using Parkour for catching criminals, even if it is a diluted form. I doubt that even if there is a huge commercial boom in relation to parkour that it will stop the people with half a noodle in their skull from finding out where the activity originates from, how to train properly, the philosophy of it etc.
Likewise with schools, if there is a demand for parkour to be taught in PE lessons then it's probably good that the kids are taught the very basics. It might just pique their interest enough to go and research it on teh interwebs....

i think it would be far better to do as someone earlier mentioned and do demos everynow and then in schools so that people will not nececarily do it but understand it and respect and will help grow the PK population, whereas forcing it to be taught wud only over populate it and things wud get out of control and as so many have said, wudnt be special anymore, i think parkour should be found not thrust upon, i was randomly lookin at vids on utube wen it caught my eye and gave it ago, from then on ive just been training n training
