Personly I believe that its not really about wieght but also how your body is formed in terms of gender, I know as a female that doing the cat balance for me is easy, where as my male counter part struggles but can do the flag because he has the upper bodyto pull it off.

its true that anatomical structure does play a part in the ability to do some moves, but i think this thread is saying about fat people doing parkour, not about male or female. So basically a 30 stone guy isn't really going to do a wallrun, whereas me or you could Jazzle =] and my female friend can flagpole and shes a normal build for a female, not overly muscly or anything

try the adidas NOVAS, thats the shoes i have got and they are amazing for grip and lightness, however not so good for precisions..if you like a more well balanced shoe then try the k swiss ariakes

couple of points don't blame an inability on something to be the "shoes" i spent ALOT of money thinking that shoes would make me better. now i have £10 trainers and they are absolutely amazing. "a bad worksman blames his tools" - just a metaphor, not implying that you are unskilled.
and, don't go for novas or ariakess! go to your local decathlon and buy kalenji success. £10 and absolutely amazing.
anyway, vid seemed a bit "arrogant" - "well.. we answered that question" ..no you didn't you simply made a video showing smaller things
if you needed to use parkour in a chase, and you had been training small, how are you expected to do a huge wall pop?
size is relative, at the end of the day

exactly, fat people can do some basic things, but the fatter you are the smaller the obstacle you can pass. Ok il try find those trainers ant cheers dude. another point on the trainer thing, i spent 50 pounds on nike airs and they suck, but spent 35 on novas and they are amazing. Price is nothing its about practicality and knowing what your looking for.

If you want to go for looks you should check out the addidas traceurs the official world frerunning championship trainers, they are made from part of a F1 tyre. I dont know if you can purchase them yet but I tried a pair and they look great but feel to chunky. Will try the trainers ant recomemmed and hi btw! Mind you i currently train in standard addidas trainers or converses (great for cat balance and precision) when i forget to pack them.

converses, i used to parkour in those lol terrible shock waves in the feet, most people who parkour in converses only wear them because they watch urban ninja and see him in them..dont parkour in those, i kept getting a common parkour injury, bruising on the ball and heel of the foot. this is from not landing properly and not wearing the right footwear.

lol It was only partly because I left my trainers at home and where I train training in bare feet is not nice and I would need a tetnus shot first.
