i saw jump britain last night and wanna do what they can do. it looks fun, energetic not to mention amazing. and its free! ive lived in swindon all my life and ive been asking around today and no gyms or clubs do parkour. i think the only way is to start off simple out on the streets. ;D

Hey I may be a little old to learn Parkour, I'm 26. It looks cool. I can already do some of the basic stuff they do cos I've done a little martial arts and Ive always been into jumping and climbing things. I noticed that some of the things they did on that program were similiar to how I climb and jump (except it was self learned). I wouldn't mind going to a club if there was one. Let me know if one starts please. Kevintenuta(at)hotmail.com.

Too old at 26! did ya not see EZ last night? I'm 31 on Sunday and looking for someone vaguely local to train with, I used to be into assault courses in a big way. I live at junction 14 of the M4 so Swindon ain't too far to travel. If you fancy meeting up for a mess about drop me a line James(at)broadwick.co.uk

kevin tenuta get out of that bedroom and come and learn some free running with me. we are both 26 which is not too old and we could meet other people that want to start.

I am 23 and have done a little boxing and martial arts training. i have become a little disillusioned with boring workouts at the gym though and am interested in getting into parkour. There just doesn't seem to be anywhere local to do this and i'd feel a little self-conscious going straight out onto the streets and doing as a complete novice

I found a few moderately good places around Swindon: Fleming way bus station is good for rails and stuff. Aldi carpark has a few walls and somewhere u can practice tic tac-ing. Basicaly look for any built up areas, look around town, you'll be suprised the amount of good places there are. Thw Wyvern is another good spot to go to, but there's usually some people there, so expect an audience.

go from the bus station towards the town centre, just before the tunnel under the road there is a wall to your left - cat leaps to the higher wall. i couldnt find much else of serious interest, but this area is a nice place to mess arround in
if you can, get a train to reading on sunday - big jam happening, we will be meeting outside the station at 11:30ish

Guys, I am 34 and live in Swindon. Have done all my life. Where to go? Too old...? It aint about the obstacles in your way. its just about your 'way'. You ain't too old and you ain't too young. enjoy
