Hi! I am the curator for Movies By Movers - a film festival dedicated to the art of human movement in film and digital media. I am not very advanced in parkour, myself, but love seeing people do what they do best on the screen. We are taking short film submissions through July. moviesbymovers.org Last year, a parkour film won best short-short film by audience vote.

We have produced a couple of short films, for improvement and promotion purposes, this might be of interest to the group?!
Do you have more information about moviesbymovers?!

Yes, I do have more info - you can go to our FB page here: www.facebook.com/pages/Movies-By-Movers/436774719675176Additionally, all the submission info is on the website: www.moviesbymovers.orgFor specific questions, contact moviesbymovers(at)gmail.com In a nutshell, MBM has been in existence for five years. The fest is independent and strives to create and connect communities of movers through curation of the fest. Dance, circus, martial arts, sport of all kinds is welcome for submission. As far as genre, experimental, narrative and documentary are what we look for. The parkour film that won last year was a creative presentation of what a group of guys near to us are doing with their craft. The year before last, we programed a feature length documentary about parkour - why the men featured in the film do what they do, what drives them emotionally, physically, spiritually. A lovely film. Would love to see more submissions by women, too.
