INTRO
hey im Scott McQuade n im a traceur from near leeds
im 16 and have been doing parkour since april this year
i am a part of LPG and WYPK (read on to find out what they stand for )
i am in the middle of a search through parkour forums to find fresh new tallent in the west yorkshire area
hey noobs please read this before asking any questions - this will hopefully answer lots
info on pk in west yorkshire:...
Theres groups in leeds, bradford, halifax, huddersfield n wakey - there are also some traceurs (freerunners) from small towns around leeds (for example Weatherby)
KREWS
the krew from halifax www.freerun.tkform the main part of West Yorkshire Parkour (WYPK) - they jam in leeds aswell with LPG (Leeds Parkour Group) and everyone who jams in leeds is part of LPG so most of WYPK are part of LPG (and most of LPG are part of WYPK aswell) - its confusing but try to follow
a small krew called DBP (Drastic Behavior Problems) from huddersfield have also jamed in leeds but mainly jam in hudds
there are a few more traceurs from hudds aswell which jam with DBP in hudds and with LPG in Leeds
the krew from bradford called the abunai krew (japanese name i think) their site is www.abunai-krew.com (really cool site) jam on sundays but are not meeting as regularly as they used to
i now know there are atleast 3 small groups in wakey and a few more 'loose' traceurs so hopefully with the right organising we can get something big going in wakey as well as leeds
LPG (Leeds Parkour Group) is the main group in leeds but there are other traceurs that we bump into n i know they are a few guys from the uni that are into pk our web site is www.freerun.up.to -check the vids out the latest 1s are awsome (except the wakey intro ) and the Leeds Jam 5 is amazing aswell! ;Dhehe
KREW INFO
most people are 15-17 but there are a few 12-14 n a few that are older some 20+
all noobs are welcome everywhere! (thats one of the best things about parkour)
a lot of people have been doing pk since jump britain, a lot only a few months (like me) n some for ages (but those guys arent that good generally -hehe i didnt say that)
theres roughly 7 or 8 of the halifax lot -somat like that
LPG has about 25 members overall but never get all to 1 jam
the abunai krew get roughly 10ish
there are a few groups of 3-5 in wakey that jam quite regulary (some mor ethan others) and another few traceurs that dont belong to a group
JAMS
LPG meet up at leeds art gallery 11:30 every sat
we can get anything from 6 to 18 jamming incuding a few noobs normally
the abunai krew meet sundays at the interchange
the groups in hudds dont have a regular meet in hudds but most join in the leeds jams -but if you really wanted to meet in hudds then get in touch n i can sort you out
now us (LPG) n the abunai krew are trying to form an 'alliance' for the summer holls so we will become closely linked in the future hehe
