There are loads of us who train in Leeds on Saturdays, and during the week sometime. Speak to me on msn - hollie1791(at)hotmail.com or just go to Leeds Art Gallery between 10 and 11 on a Saturday. Would be nice to see a new face. xHollie

To be honest there are no 'official' training groups, traceurs tend to train in casual groups learning of each other. How much do you know about parkour? Athough having experience in gymnastics is an advantage when starting parkour, there is a big difference between the two. Parkour is all about efficient movement, without the flips and spins found in gymnastics. Have a look at www.parkour.net, read some of the articles on there for a start, and if your son is still interested all he needs to to is come along on a Saturday. The details are in the post above.

i would love to come hang at the art gallery sometime but sorting childcare is a bit of a problem for me, as a dad..... my partner has gotten into parkour too, and though we are quite new to it we both wanna get in with people who wont be too pressure based. in my early years i met an ass who put me off training with others, he said if i couldnt do a flip then i wasnt into parkour- but have sat with the kids watching your group a couple of times. we are the couple that wear leather jackets, girlfriend has red hair. dunno if youll have noticed us watching you we usually have either a little girl (3) or both a little girl and a blonde boy with us. my son loves to see real people doing jumps and flips. (6yrs old, determined to be a traceur too)
