I am thinking of trying to get the school to let me and some friends use the gym at school to practice parkour at a lunch time. But I have heard from a friend that they will need insurance, does anyone know if this is true?

I suspect this may be so, but...
The simplest and most reliable way to find out is to ask whoever's in charge of the gym at school.
It's not like you're going to get into trouble for showing enthusiasm in extracurricular activities, is it?
