I didnt, i have just been doing it years! Always jumping of stuff and creating lines without a board. then one day a mate of my dads comes over, some french dude who told me about some mates of his (some were on jump london and britain) and i met up with some and they told me bout it, gave me some tips and said i should keep doing it like i am! Original Parkour, cause i am a kid at heart, being 16 now and 13 when i really started the heavy stuff, lol!
