yea that programme was the badgers nadgers!!!
im from shepton mallet. me and a couple of mates (including monkey) are starting a parkour group. (even though a few of them do not relize it!!!) i waz thinkin, at the moment we are trying to organize a sort of 'practice area' like on the programme. (a gym)
would any be interested in joining this parkour krew? if enough people join we can arrange sessions and do sum serious street running!!!! if everyone "promotes" mutiny, it can be somersets biggest parkour krew. (come on you have to admit that would sound impressive, that you are appart of somersets biggest parkour group!) i think most people here are 'begginers' so there is much to learn! if any one is interested in joining, just post back or email me at mutiny_parkour_krew(at)hotmail.co.uk
thankyou for reading this post.

Yeah, me and some friends were doing some of this stuff when we were about 16, it developed out of hedge jumping, hehe. It soon emerged that you need mental discipline as well as physical power to do it, and you can't just get pissed and jump around, so we stopped.
Today I was just fiddlesticksing about down near the bowlplex in yeovil loadsa huge step gaps etc, and I realised how much fun this stuff was, people just stare at you like a loon, then chaz tried it, and fell over, party!

hi, i'm mum to a 10year old parkour fan who's running all the time & driving me crazy! i really want to connect up with other runners in mid somerset, either kids like him, or as i see one of you started at 10, maybe anyone up for encouraging/advising/teaching him & his mates. I think its a fantastic activity, but unfortunately have no experience to help him. We're in Glastonbury, so I look forward to hearing from you! Peace xx Oh, if the mutiny krew meet in street happens, any chance we could come along & at least watch, or maybe he could join in a bit? Also, any other parents out there into supporting each other & our kids I'd love to hear from you!

the best bits of advise i can give him are:
1.strech out before starting(might not seem cool but it is worth it) 2.do parkour for yourself not to show off 3. the most important in my opinion is PRACTISE it might be difficult to start with but when you pull off a nice move it is worth it
hope that helped.

i totally agree with nickadees.
i would like to add somethin aswell. you have to go at your own pace
don't go rushin into anythin your not sure of yet. take your time, and get as much amount of advice and research as you can! you don't want to try to front flip into a sandpit when you don't know how to do it, (ain't that rite monkey!) i advise you learn little moves over and over again. learn the moves which are vital such as rolls and vaults.

Yes, thats rite Averix. Also, don't get pressured by friends if your not sure yourself, like Averix said, go at your own pace. If people tell you to do something, dont unless you think you're ready to. Aint that rite averix? lol.
