i have had tight hamstrings all my life and i have had physio to stretch them.
how do you thik this will effect my ability to do parkour

yeah - but how long have you been having theropy? if its over half your life - i doubt they will get better unless you start the theropy when u body has matured more and isnt growign as much adult as in young adult

i had physio for six months and then got told to just keep doing the excersices for them but i stopped for a year and now i have started to do the exercises to stretch them again ,and i can really feel the diffrence.

yeah man, if i was advised i'd stick with it most of my life even if it didnt feel tight as the problem may re-accure

seeing as most muscles contract after exercise, a way to "loosen" them is stretching. stetch LOTS.
another thing is ice baths. have a freezing cold bath to loosen up your muscles

yh i have this leg brace thing so i wear that to stretch and then as they stretch i make the brace tighter to stretc them more and so on.

agreed but ive found it extremely affective hot to cold showers helped my ankle so much = i reckon it was a matter of confidence with my ankle actualy = but the water definetly soothed it

yeah i have been streching my hamstrings alot recentley as i have been using the gym equipment and they tighten up alot after a gym sesion

remember to cool off or warm down whichever way you put it otherwise you could end up in a lot of pain
