It's nice being able to flip anytime, anyplace.
I particularly like to confuse chavs.
Chavs (watching parkour): "Do a backflip!"
Me: "What? I don't understand. Show me what you mean."
Chavs: "I can't do it! You do it! Do a flip!"
Fellow traceur: "You know flips are physically impossible."
Me: "They're actually an optical illusion. They're done with strings and mirrors."
Chavs: "Yeah whatever."
(chavs lose interest, only one chav is watching. I back tuck.)
Lone chav: "Wait! Wait! Mate! He just did one!"
Other chavs: "What?"
Lone chav: "He just did a flip! Oi, mate, do that thing you just did!"
Me: "I didn't do anything. I can't flip. It's impossible."
Other chavs: "Come one, mate. He's having you on."
Lone chav: "No! He just did it!"
Me: "Did I just do something?"
Fellow traceur: "No. He's making it up."
Lone chav: "No! I saw him doing that flip thing he just did!
I've done this so many times, that I get chavs arguing over me.
Lone chav: "It's that guy! The one who does flips!"
Other chavs: "What? He does flips?"
Me: "No. I can't flip?!"
Lone chav: "Show us one! I know you can do it!"
Me: "Maybe he means my, uh... Evil, imaginary twin brother?"
Other chavs: "Come on, man. Leave it out."
Lone chav: "It's that guy! The one who does flips but says he can't! I saw you doing those flips at the station, remember!"
Me: "Hi! I remember you! This guy does flips, you know."
Fellow traceur: "Really? I'd like to see one"
Lone chav: "I don't do those flips. You do!"
Me: "You know your friend here does flips? I saw him doing them the other day at the station.
Other chavs: "Nah, mate!"
Lone chav: "DO A FLIP!"
Me: "I don't get it. You show me some flips, now you want me to do them?"
A couple of times, a chav has called my bluff, and actually attempted some form of acrobatics. This results in me and him having fun, experimenting with gymnastics for the next half hour, while his friends feel a little left out.
