(I'm not sure if this is in the correct section but its not for a specific move so didnt know if it should go in "techs") Plyometrics is a type of exercise that uses explosive movements to develop muscular power, the ability to generate a large amount of force quickly. It may be used, for example, to improve the effectiveness of a boxer's punch, or to improve the height of jumps. Plyometric training acts on both the musculotendinous and neurological levels to increase an athlete's power output without necessarily increasing their maximum strength output. Muscular power is determined by how long it takes for strength to be converted into speed. The ability to convert strength to speed in a very short time allows for athletic movements beyond what raw strength will allow. thanks for taking the time to post. im familier with plyo work but if it is a subject you are knowledgable in, why not write a full article including exercises and a full explanation of how it works and how it can be transferred into our parkour training. when the main site is up and running i will put itinto the articles area.

there was a main site for these forums a few years back but the hosting dropped off and the webmaster is hardly here anymore so i am creating a new site for the UKPKA. check the parkour discussion thread.
