I'm new to actually doing prkour although i have seen people in action. I am not a very good a gymnastics so thats why i stayed away from free running. My school actually did a club for a while but that went away and now i have nowhere to go to practice, without just diving straight into doing it on the streets (which is not a goo idea, so i'm told). Anyway, i know a lot of people are in the same situation as me, with no real places to practice nearby, so please post locations and clubs on this thread. I live in leicestershire (braunstone town) so if anybody knows some locations for me that would be great ;-). However, also please post any other locations for people in different areas, thx a lot. Plz post if you can help!!!

Yea, I have the same problem living in Chesterfield, I looked around briefly, but there isn't any clubs or anything - to my knowledge. But I didnt know that it's a bad idea to hit the streets straight away.

Try and find some local jumps or somethnig like that and just try there, if you can't find anything just hit the streets. I actually started on the streets and although tricks that went rong hurt I learn't faster than what I did up the jumps Remember to stay in your comfort zone and don't wander to far from it, as that is when you get injured.

I started it today, and I went to the streets, well the town centre to be precise, but I was fine, you'll do good, just dont try anything you know you wont be able to do

Remember to not let people put you off. They only laugh and make jokes because they can't do it and are jealous

Clubs? For parkour?
You youngsters have it easy!
Back in my day, if you wanted to get good at parkour, you'd use parkour.
But in all honesty, where you train is not as important as how you train. Try to get someone to show you how to do things, and show them how you do things. Bad habits and poor technique can be harmful and dangerous...
