Anyone have any exercises to help build up muscles and flexibility?
Or any good tips for beginners?

There are too many good exercises for me to describe all of them, so I'll just give you a couple of my favourites, that the majority of beginners I know would benefit from... Squats.Squats are the way forwards; strengthen your leg muscles for jumping as well as reinforcing the knee support muscles. Just make sure you do them safely. Have feet directly beneath shoulders and hips, keep feet and knees pointing forwards, keep back upright and weight backwards. Don't just drop down and spring up - maintain control. PROTECT YOUR KNEES! Calf raises. This was created by a tricker, and he says a few things I don't agree with 100%, but you would do well to watch and absorb. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8B1XvEbJUKEGo to a martial arts / gymnastics / professionally taught parkour class. If I could meet you in person, I would show you a whole load of warm up / conditioning exercises and some stretches. Unfortunately, I'm not, so you should go to one of the above classes, even if you don't plan on taking up martial arts / gymnastics. If the teacher is worth their salt, they'll teach you exercises that will benefit you.
