Has anyone arranged any regular meetings? I'd be interested in meeting someone who already does this, as I've just found out about Parkour and am interested in learning.

Hi guys, I'm 27 in Swindon, always fancied doing something like this but never found anywhere to do it.
The way most people I think get good is to practice in a propper gym, I mean with crash mats etc you don't really care if you screw up so will be more daring and will learn a lot faster.
I've done a lot of martial arts etc in the past, and used to be pretty flexible and good on my feet, but 8 years away from it and just doing some stuff at the local gym to hold off the beer and takeaways has made me a little wooden so to speak. It would be great to feel more in tune with my body again.
I'd need to start right at the bottom though, I can't even jump off of a few feet of wall at the mo without hurting my knees / legs, I guess that's because the only exercise they've seen in the past years is running.
Anyhow, I screwed up my wrist a while ago and it's been in a splint for a while, it's getting better now, if anyone fancies trying to kick something off then give me a shout as I would be up for it, could really use some basic advice too on landing and jumping etc.
Mail rougen(at)drunkensailor.com
Cheers.
