hello people, I've been free running for about a month now and me and my mates want to find a gym to practice in safely. Does anyone know of any gyms that allow parkour? It's a pain because of the insurance business! I'd prefer somewhere close to Salisbury but if I have to, I'll travel to anywhere in Wiltshire...well, that's a lie. Anywhere within reasonable distance and easy location! If anyone knows something please let me know...

That sounds cool. Could you e-mail if you organise a gym session? Me and my mates have spent ages trying to get permission from our local sports centre and school; niether let us do parkour...
my e-mail is DirtyoldMavis(at)aol.com
Hopefully I'll hear from you soon, mate.

well as per a discussion on U,F,F . you dont nessesarily have to tell them your doing parkour....
alot of what techniques are used in parkour derive from gymnastics.... so find out if there are any recreational gym sessions where at least you can be attempting vaults,,,, practicings rolls and balance etc.....
but yes i will indeed keep you informed , if not see if you can try to get to some of the U,F,F workshops, they are the best youll come by for a gym session.... whether you are experienced or not.

Yeah I've tried saying that we're doing gymnastics, but according to the idiots that work there: "vaulting isn't gymnastics..." and "you'll be doing things that are going to kill you..."
Silly people.....
I'm still trying to do an afterschool session or something but is becoming complicated....oh well!
Thanks again, bye!
