I'm in West Dorset (near Dorchester) and I too have started messing about with a few jumps and rolls...mainly in and out of trees (living in the middle of the country does that to you!) What sort of things have you been doing?
I live in poole, quite close to you if your in b'mouth. ive seen parkour, have tried it where i can, im really interested in it. but dont really know where to do it. If you know of any places drop us an email ......mattr87_(at)hotmail.com.......
I don't know any particualr good one's either but i guess that's the spirit of free running - you just use whatever's around you. If any of you guys use MSN we could add each other to talk properly or whatever. Mine's jezhosking(at)hotmail.com .
I'd be up for that, my address is t_aire(at)hotmail.com. I was in Dorchester a few days ago, messing about on walls and having great fun. It would be great to talk with some like minded (and equally mad!) people ;D
Well I've added you so may see you online sometime. Anyone seen the videos on another site? They make it look so easy! Yea I just sometimes when I'm a bit hyped start 360ing of curbs and benches and stuff lol. Would like to see what my stuff looks like from the third person though. Might film some stuff soon. Anyone else from Dorset please do share your stuff, would be cool
;D hey guys i live in Bridport in Dorset and i would love to get into Parkour, i think the key is to start small and build your self up i have dabbled in a little, trees n stuff. i do a lot fo long baording and ocasionally surf. i think i need to get my ftness up a little !
i have just baught 2 dvds 1 called Jump London with some awsome parkour guys the inventors of the sport and another french film called yamakasi its an awsome film but its got no subtitles, oh well.
add me if you want - it would be good to talk to some other parkour lovers
I live in dorch me and my bro alex do a lot of free running but we tend to build martial arts tricks and simple breaking moves. Good place is up the dorch rugby club I did a gainer off the portacabin roof thing gainer= (running forward back somersault) pretty basic but alot of fun. To be good I recon you need to do some trick training to improve your plyometrix ability and do some running to increase your leg strength. If any body wants to get to geather emaol me tkdvipers(at)hotmail.com.
Well i just heard of parkour and i think it looks very good and intresting sport (if thats what you would call it). i have just started and i have tried jumping over my sofa a few times and i am going to try it on the street in dorch and i have seen a few nice spots around dorch, if you wanna recommened ne beginners spots then that would be great for me as i kinda mental and try massive wall drops
Hey it's cool we're all starting to come together and get to talk about it and stuff. Jackson you're flipping amazing if you can back flip off stuff! I'm so nowhere near that level! I can sometimes run along a wall and and run up and three sixty off them - alot of it's just testin' and messin'. I'll add you on MSN if that's ok. (My email's up the page). I'll put a cool pic up soon, it's of my friend doing a cool wall-run. Anyone know spots that they think are quite good?
Open-Minded and have a couple of buds that I'm gonna inuse with this manic-cool-ass sport.. ..Guess I've been doing Parkour in some way or another all my life.. Cant believe I saw 'Jump London' on TV whilst on vaction in Saudi Arabia (SouthAfrican satelite TV (my saviour for entertainment))..
..Anyways,... am really eager to hook up and do runs anywhere and everywhere..
