Hi, How would you guys feel about my boyfriend, a 33 year old yoga teacher joining you to learn some stuff. Saw Parkour on TV and is a big fan but doesn't know where to find anyone else whose interested enough to have a go. He's a proper monkey and I reckon he'll pick stuff up really quickly. Let me know if we're welcome, amicalement Julia

Anyone is welcome to come down to the Shell Centre which is in the south bank.
I be going up there tomorrow, Saturday 12th February, with a few of my mates at 11 am.
Bring as many people as you can, the more the merrier.

Monkey buisiness I'll be there Sat & Sun after midday I'm 38 and have been practicing for, think this's 5th weekend. It would be good to see another older traceur wanting to learn the ropes. I will show the basics and your yoga partner can go from there. From my experiance suppleness is important along with a good attitude towards progression however there seems to be a common fault in what i see other beginers doing. As i have been adviced by experianced traceurs it is very important to work on building the basic muscle groups and tendons aroud the feet and ankles to absorb impact otherwise compound damage is bound to accur (dont mean to frighten just being sensible). Before attempting the more advanced techs it is highly important to strengthen the feet and ankles for the high impact you can expect from practicing parkour. Start slowly and build up i can show some very good basic techniques to build correct muscle groups. To go jumping around from height is a really daft way to begin, i see lots of traceurs crashing around without consideration for the longevity of their joints, it is really stupid. Shell centre is easiest to get to from Waterloo station as you exit the station follow the signs are ask staff for the Shell centre exit. Shell centre is literally ontop of Waterloo underground as you exit the station via Shell centre turn right and you are in Parkour central. I'll be the one who looks 38 come and say hello, look forward to meeting you.

Fogs, Didn't log on all w/e so missed you! Are you going this w/e Sat & Sun??? We can meet up Saturday after 2pm if you're going to be around? Can't do Sunday. Thanks for the advice. I know you've got it sussed as I am in the medical profession and have seen lots of compound fractures. What you've said is sound.
Monkey Man is hairy with scary facial hair and I am small and run about a lot! Easy! Look forward to meeting you. J
