Are there any training centres for this sport? i want to get into it, but need practise first - preferably in a gym. Anyone go to any? or know any?

Seal, start by going out and finding a place to practice always, always, always work on the basics first you will not learn Parkour in a gym. Go out find things to jump to and from practice the basic vaults, rolls, handstands there is too much to practice on the basics to waste your time in a gym. Go to www.3run.co.uk you will find all you need to start you off there they have a fantastic section for tips and advice. Goodluck man go out and run.

Tis a shame the 22nd one got cancelled, I was really lookin 4wd to it, and I start work on the 24th so future ones remain a bit doubtful.
but well see.. And seal.. Yea I know some girls who do it, I think girls have a general advantage of flexibility... but also depends on how early you start... ;D

ok thnx. how long have u been practising pk? I'm newest of the new and don't know much. But I'm hoping to start a club at my school for people to practise basics etc. What is a traceur? Is that just someone who practises pk? As I said - I really don't know much. hehe

Yep a traceur is someone who practices parkour, isnt it a good word!
I've been running, under the guise of parkour for 5-6 weeks, however i damaged a foot and have been resting for past two weeks. I've always done the same sort of thing since i was a kid and even as an adult people think im to old be doing the things i do but it feels good and that's enough for me.
Should get yourself over to 3run.co.uk it's a good resource for parkour. If you go there and ask for some female related inspiration i'm sure you'll get lots of help. I'll keep an eye open for those vid's.
