Who is up for putting money together to rent a high schools gym/hall for use of Parkour basic training?
if you have any ideas of where or how much, let me know, keep popping back here and I should have information myself that I will post!

I checked some of the websites for the gyms around Cowes, East Cowes and Newport but none of them said anything about how much it would cost to hire I suggest either ringing the gym or visiting it to find out.

spoke to some Gym Halls and stuff on the phone and the cost is going to be more for places like that, Going to try contacting the Youth Club in newport as they have a good set of equipment and free trained volunteers (as far as I remember), I'll let everyone know though!

Gaterella, thanks for checking round the gyms. It's not always possible to train outside and try things without getting injured, so I'm interested in gym sessions. Make sure you let us know!!

things aren't going brilliant with contacting people at the moment, Some places I will have to visit on my days off from work as they are not listed in phone books or on the internet... I work in a library and I still can't get contact numbers for them...
I'll be back (hopefully) with some info soon!

the deal is... Newport youth club will let us rent the hall.
but, we will all have to come together with enough money for Extreme sports insurance...
at yet I do not know the price of this, but I will find out...
so keep checking back here for more info...

here's the deal...
Newport youthclub have said that we can use their gym hall, we all have to join the youth club for £2 and then every 2 hour session is only 25p per person after that. The sessions will be on monday nights from around 7.30 to 9.30 I think, need to double check that...
as I am the only person over 18 and Richie has a Gymnastics qualification we will be the ones in charge in the eyes of the grand scheme of things...
we will also have Robin the guy in charge at the youth club there in the sessions as then we won't have to pay out for insurance...
so let me know if you want to come and then I'll contact Robin and set a date for the first session.

Pretty much anyone will be welcome, I'm part of the Islander Free runners, we have in many forms being doing this for a few years now, but have only in the last four or five months been doing it on the street using more higher vaults and gymnastic moves... I am 20 and I am not as good as I would be due to damage to my legs and the fact that I don't exercise as much as I could... but all are welcome, you have to come and sign in at the youth club... but all that will happen once I find out the first sessions date and time... P.S: if you like art or poetry at all, visit: www.Gaterell-a.co.uk There is a personal e-mail at this site and all my work. Over and out, Gaterella. Remember Parkour is about sharing skills, disciplines and having fun at the same time, like being a member of a circus, or part of an olympic team...
