Hi all -
I'm a student at the Uni, and I was trying to set up a street sports society, which I think would be one of the first in the UK...
Anyway, "street sports" includes Parkour as I see it, and I was wondering if there's any students who wanted to join... If so, my email is Lunja_uk(at)hotmail.com
Cheers,
Lunja.

Excellent! think I saw a post of yours on the virtual campus.... "Street sports" would include Trials, BMXing, Blading and Skateboarding, coz we basically all ride the same stuff but use different things to do it with. The idea woould be to organise rides / meets, as well as trips to events like NASS, Urban games, The Bike show etc (I don't know any Parkour events...) We'd get funding from the Uni as well, if we managed to get enough people... I've got a couple trials riders interested, and I know there's some BMXers / Skaters around the Uni, so things might take off...

Hey guys, count me in!
Been dying to train with people just to help with my fundamentals because i reckon I need to get these down before I can do a proper run on my own. I dont want to be found lying in a ditch somewhere, lol.

It this for Uni students only or can everyone join, i'm a skater at the uni, only just started out, was wondering if i could join in, sounds great, i know a lot of other skaters, i'll ask them to join in aswel.
btw, i'm 15 and more of the skaters are about 14-16 are there any age limits or other restrictions involved for people to join?

To be part of the society, you're gonna have to be a Uni student... They won't let us fund people who aren't students BUT... that doesn't mean we can't all meet up on group rides, events etc! I'll post again if something happens! Cheers, Lunja

Aww, that's a shame, i'll have a look and see what's happening and how much it is etc and maybe fund myself unless it gets slightly complicated with all the payments..
But any blading events i'll definately be interested in and maybe organise my own little day out.

Just thinking... They're bound to like the idea if we pitch it as a "community project", ie. helping younger people who aren't students... Could get the Lincoln skatepark committee involved - guy from that has been trying to talk to me for ages... EDIT: Sorry - forgot to mention that I've registered street-sports(at)hotmail.co.uk -that'll be the "official" (lol) address for emailings and such. Keep forgetting to check it thuough, so if it's been a couple days with no reply, just mail my Lunja addy. Cheers!!
