Hey I am part of a small parkour team in Hull called Hull Run, and this is our first video. The video isn't off the full team because we don't have much footage yet. The video is off 2 of our members, and on Sunday we should be recording a video with 3 of the members...as it stands us 3 are the only ones who seem to practice all the time. Anyway, less chit chat more video action. Please watch and comment on either here or youtube (preferably both) www.youtube.com/HullRun - Video channel www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4GPgMwKVQM - Direct link Expect to see more from us in the future, thanks.

Hey welcome to UKPKA, i enjoyed watching your video i got some advice for you...
I would advice not wearing gloves. This is because or hands play a vital role in parkour as we can use them to feel our environment and helps with our sensitivity knowing where are hands are eg. hand placement.
Also work on your roll's it looks they are similar to a gymnast roll. They dont absorb impact the same way parkour roll does. Try and roll more over your shoulder!
Last bit just keep working on making your movements more fluid and efficient and stay away from big drops!
Keep it up!
-Charlie.

Thanks for the quick reply, and yeah i see were you are coming from. If your talking about the first roll, it was an attempt at a superman/suicide roll. And yep mate, we relised about the gloves a few weeks back and have since stopped using them. Also, about the drops we do tend to stay away from big drops, but mainly they were for photos. Thank you for the comments, very helpful

The superman roll or whatever you would like to call it is dangerous and i wouldn't advice doing it just a little tip mate.
Thanks for reading my reply!

Yeah personally I don't do it, but my friend (sam) is quite obsessed with it he doesn't seem to suffer any pain or anything though.

you may not right now, but may do soon.
comments on vid;
don't structure your movement (set it up) just let it flow
make the camera stationary and not give it to someone who has a shaky hand
get better at every thing you do, just make it nicer.
rools looked quite bad as earlier mentioned.
theres other things, but i cant remember
Keep training!
nice video.

it's good i like the cat balance near the end. however, you have some free running moves in there (hand stands, stalls...) and if you call it parkour you may get some nasty comments, and some of the time you go forwards then backwards again. you should always go forwards. and to halp it flow nicely don't pause to think in the middle of doing something, just do it. keep practicing i'd like to see more vids!! ===BD===

1) i think they were just showing their skills theur mate
2) free running doesnt exist.
3) tbh, the cat balance wasn't nearly low enough, and the legs should be further back from your body, making it harder but more beneficial.
just to add there haha.

Yeah we started out doing Free Running, but quickly changed to Parkour as it felt it suited us more. So they're probably is a few bits of free running thrown in.
And, whats a stall?

STOP wearing gloves other wise the skin on your hands wont be tuff enough for the ruff materials you'll be putting your hands on
"super man rolls" stop!
and on that climbing wall in the park try to kick up so you can reach the top and not use the foot holds
you guys need to condition to make your body strong enough cope with parkour and its movements
plus iv bin reading the comments you got on you-tube and strength does play quite a big factor in parkour case you need to be strong physically as well as mentally other wise your going no where

Yeah we know about gloves, stopped wearing them already. And yeah i realize strength lays quite a big factor, but it depends on the obstacle allot of the time. We will condition our body's though, right now we're trying to nail the basics. Yeah, I don't like the superman things, thats Sam lol he won't have it that they're bad. And on the park, we do kick up now Thanks.
