This thread is for the discussion of the movement "squirrel leap".
I tend to land with one foot just ahead of, and higher than, the other. what do you guys do?

i dont believe this needs a new name, especially one like 'squirrel leap'. it is basically an arm jump.

Cat leap is ambiguous. Arm jump is even more ambiguous.
I don't tend to call it anything. I'd say "Grab that; feet go there". No confusion that way.

i like lukmans approach to it, as someone with aspergers syndrome it makes sense to me.... but also it makes sense to name moves so they can be discussed in written format. i didnt know what a squirrel leap was until i checked out the link, but i have done a few of these over the years. my approach was always to make sure my strongest foot hit first, and to press into the lamp-post with it as though wall-popping. grab with both hands asap, and hope your momentum doesnt carry you round the bar. big respect to all freerunners!
