Hello all,
A message to request contact from anyone interested in participating in a Masters research project via the University of Chichester.
The aim of the study is to provide evidence for recommendations for parkour training/practice geared towards the prevention of lower limb injuries.
The study will involve testing in the university's biomechanics labs, during which you will be required to land in 2 different styles from platforms of differing heights. You will then be asked to undergo some physical testing (1 rep max tests) and be provided with a basic lower limb resistance training programme following which there will be a session of re-testing in the biomechanics lab to note any changes.
If interested you will ideally be over the age of 18, have at least 3 years experience in practising parkour, currently be free of injury and will have access to (or be willing to access) a gym.
If you'd be interested in furthering the available research in the field of parkour and meet the criteria please contact me via e-mail at chrissnipp(at)hotmail.co.uk.
Many thanks, Chris
