Suprised it wasn't posted here, but I'll do it none the less.
Been a while in the making and somewhat a long term goal for the whole Swift idea, but finally, we can announce a free Parkour workshop in Basildon on the 24th of February '07.
More details ARE to follow, but this will give you the heads up and a chance to come; regardless of age, gender or ability we want to see you there, representing Essex Parkour and learning from Traceurs from different areas and backgrounds.
We are hoping this is the start of more street workshops in the ever growing Essex parkour community.
Here's what we have so far.
In conjunction with The "Art you Need" innitiative, Northlands Park Neighbourhood and The Art Council of England, Worldwide Jam will be teaching an open and free workshop on Saturday 24th of February at Northlands Park.
There should be two sessions. 12-2 and 2-4, but at should be fine to stay around and join in with both groups and with the exercises.
Art U Need Needs U is a work by artist Andrea Mason for Northlands PArk Neighbourhood. It is part of Art U Need: An Outdoor Revolution - a programme of commissions for neglected open spaces in Thames Gateway South Essex, led by artist Bob & Roberta Smith.
Funding bodies: Arts Council of England, EEDA, Thames Gateway South Essex and Commissions East.
