sometimes the best training sessions are on your own or with someone you have trained with for years.

i totaly agree with ronin
i have always trained with the same person - and weve learned so much of each other, if theres too many people - there tends to be too much info comnig in at the same time or lack of concentration

he didn't call james gav at all.
he quoted gav and wrote gav.
a couple of people, so thereby you're saying you don't need lots, bit contradictory.

in a big jam, its highly unlikely you will improve.
its a social event then, so training with fewer people is MUCH better.

In my experience... I like to vary my training. I'll drill moves by myself as and when I have time, I'll train with a few people I know, or hang around with the dozens of people who turn up to Norwich jams. Each training method has it's benefits. For example, while focused lone training is invaluable for developing skills, experimenting and jamming with a few other people can drive you forwards and show you new ways of looking at or doing things. While it's good to be taught by somebody more experienced and knowledgable, teaching can be beneficial in reinforcing your understanding, once you're of a high enough standard. Games of manhunt and / or tag are also much better with 12 traceurs than 3. I'll rarely pass up an oppurtunity to train with someone else, but that doesn't mean I have to train with everybody at once.

well to start with amy asked if it could be a big event (like a car boot but stalls to sell stuff )
she was asking how would you host an event like this and if it went ahead would you all come.

Its a lot harder than that. Trust me the local councils wont just hand out permission.
