Hey there.
Well I was kind of hoping there might be some freerunners around Belfast but it doesn't look like it. Me and my kid brother are really into Parkour. But we feel really stupid practising in parks on our own. We look like idiots. It would be really great if we could start a Parkour group in Antrim. Anyone else whose into Parkour from Antrim feel free to reply and post some info about your own techs.
Cheers and good luck jumping! ;D

Yeah, there's definitely some interest. I live in Carrickfergus but I'm in Belfast all the time.
There were a couple of posts in the Co. Down board for Belfast (I guess it depends on what side of the river you live on) and there's someone in Bangor.

Wow! When I posted this I didn't think there'd be so many replies! I'm from Carrickfergus too so it's nice to know there are a couple of you guys near by. I'm not really sure how we can all get together though. Does anyone have friends at a gym or anything? Cause it would be really great if we could book a gym hall some time and try out a few moves. Just the simple stuff first like learning to roll right when you land and working on balance. If we can't get hold of a gym the next best thing is a playground, that ashpalt really works! Well like the rest of you guys me and my brother watched Jump London and Jump Britain. We kind of got into it for a few months but gave up cause no one else was doing it. Then Jump Britain was on last night and it made me want to get back into it again. Listen, ask around and we'll see about getting a gym hall booked, somewhere in Belfast might be best for everyone. Then we'll think about arranging a time to meet up that suits everyone. Hope that sounds okay. Any better ideas are more than welcome Hope to hear from you guys soon

Students in Belfast might be able to book one of the halls in the PEC but i dont no if non-students can get in without student id or not but it is worth checking out

A PEC member can sign in one non-member unless the hall is booked as a public booking, which is expensive. They also don't have much in the way of equipment to work with.
UUJ sports centre has a hall that might be a better option. They have training mats, crash mats and gym equipment like vaulting boxes, horses and beams.
There's also a proper 'gymnastics' gym in Dunmurry with a sprung floor, foam pools, etc. It's open to anyone on Tuesday nights at 8pm but it costs about £5 a go and you'll have to get insurance if you want to use it regularly.

Okay, this sounds promising.
UUJ seems like a good option, i'm already a gym member there anyway. Would we be able to book it? Dunmurry might work if everyones willing to pay a fiver. A foam pit sounds like a good idea!
I guess we'll wait and see what the response is to these ideas then we'll work out a schedule. If everyones up for it maybe we could start sometime in the next fortnight.
Thanx you guys, you're all stars!

The gym in UUJ is actually being used for exams at the moment. It'll be available from Jan 24th.
