i dont mean this to sound harsh but to be honest i dont think you really have a clue as to what parkour really is. i could be wrong but if you had been training for any real length you would know that there are no clubs or parkour specific training areas. also parkour is not about groups, squads, crews or gangs. its about self progression and you should focus on that more than making squads and t-shirts. dont get me wrong, we have all been there, try and use this website and others as a reference to widen your understanding of the art. you say you are better than average, how long have you been training? what does your training consist of? ive been training for 4 years which is longer than most traceurs in this country and i still class myself as average compared to the french traceurs and others. think about what i have posted and how it relates to you, as i said im not trying to be harsh, i just think you need to re-evaluate what you are doing.

yh, sorry, my comment seemed like i was up with myself if u not wat i mean anyway... im not trying 2 be harsh 2 in this commnet, but i ddnt mean like amazign when i said i was above average, i cant really explain... im in a group becuase i feel a bit iffy when im on my wn, im quite self concious , and another reason im in a group is we r all gd m8's and all telented (at) it so yh, , and we have our own t-shirts so we can become recognisd seeming as there are alot of ametuers trying 2 copy us (we have helped them and given nice advice), so we decided 2 stand out a bit more, anyway - u see large pro groups with t-shirts, when i said any specific areas, i ment any advised places, as everywhere i seem 2 live around we all seemed 2 have mastered and cant seem 2 get anything new out of it, we consist of training nearly everday from stretches, muscle building and pure jogs and easy parkour moves slowly going up the scale, again, i wuldnt say im amzing above average - sjt better than trypical parkour students is there any meeting areas for traceurs? thats wat i mean - 2 give advice 2 any other tracuers, sorry if im not making any sense, and my 1st comment was a bit dodgy, i apolagise

i totally agree with gav.
and, you've made it worse in that last post. you can't say that you are talented at parkour. if you say that, you're basically saying that you are good at parkour, and others aren't. parkour is efficiency, we're all still training, we all can't say that we move totally efficient, we are weak. no such thing as students. you don't need shirts. only big ORGANISATIONS should have them, if at all. yamakasi, Team Db, Uf, WWJ etc. you can still not be in a crew, and still train with friends, its what we all do around here.
more points i'll add soon

...thats y i quoted that i said i wasnt amazing, jst better than people that have jst started, and our group is still learning, giving each other advice, and ive explained y we have the t-shirts, in my home town, we r already recognzed, people walk past us and say, hey, its those freerunners again. lk, all i asked if there were meeting places for tracuers, cos that wuld be kwl - being able 2 share their own techniques and skillzhint....... that our own group is still learning, i never said i was pro and i dnt wont 2 argue, i only asked

so, people HAVE to recognise you by what you wear, they can't see your face?
parkour isn't about competition at all, so you can't say what level you are really.
its fair enough that you wanted to ask something, but we see alot of posts like this around here, and we want to set an example
"yeh, i'z a tru traceur, i jumped off a 20 ft buildin b4, i'm like, a pro."
get me?

yes i do understand u, but its still kinda hard 2 c our face's, and uve jst contradicted with sm1 - they jst stated how good that r i wasnt on about competitoin (at) all i understand that u want 2 set an example, and its fair enough, but i was only asking if there were any JAMS as call them where tracuers meet up [glow=red,2,300] lk, all this started, cos sm1 said nicely bout there are no parkour places (specifically), and then someone has joined in and started having a go (at) me , if u lk around - theres other posts asking for pk places - y dnt u have a go out them [/glow] [glow=red,2,300]yes i do understand[/glow],but i havnt said anything about awt ive dun - i havnt even sted or quoted - o - im amzing, i was jst giving the bord on an idea how gd i was, cos i dnt want all the beginners advice, since ive already stated that im a bit better than an ametuer

yes, but i've never come on to here like "yeah, i'm good at parkour, i can do all the stuff"
when i first started out, i said "so who's the best" and immediately got told that its not about competition or people being "good" at parkour.
there are NO specific parkour places, just look and find places, like i've been doing recently.
also, please write in full from now on.

i'm not having an argument in anyway, none of my posts have been harsh or anything, and i've just been spreading a point across.
well, alot of the time, advised areas can be very worn down and stuff, and personally, its betetr to find your own spots.
last week, we went to find a new spot, and we found a GREAT place, and we absolutely love it, its our favourite training area now.

sorry i no use 2 have had Ur rant but one thing in Ur second post bugged me
i highly doubt that very much so!
not even an empty field with just a waist height wall in the middle of it cant be "mastered" there's so many things to be done with the most simplest of things /places
weather it is parkour, conditioning or just general movement it cant be "mastered" coz everything can be improved or new things are always being found...maybe not straight away but you will find something new and challenging in the most plainest of places
hopefully you understand what I'm ranting about and the example your setting for all of us as practitioners of what we love
- Dean
